Strengthening Families. Supporting Youth. Building Safer Futures.

Patty Cakes Family Center is a nonprofit organization founded in 2003 to support families navigating foster care and other life transitions. Created by a foster parent who saw firsthand how difficult it was to access timely child care, mental health education, and safety training, Patty Cakes was built to meet families where they are.

Today, Patty Cakes serves foster families, youth, parents, and caregivers through hands-on education and practical support. Our work focuses on mental health awareness, suicide prevention education, CPR and First Aid training, and personal coaching that help families build confidence, resilience, and safer home environments.

Based in the Kansas City area, Patty Cakes Family Center partners with families at different stages of life, providing tools and support that grow with them.
